Last week, Shoppers Drug Mart invited me for a complete women’s pampering weekend leading up to the “Love You” Run for Women on Sunday, May 7, 2017. If you were following along my Instagram stories, you would have seen that we checked into the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel, got made over ( by DIOR!!) at the SDM Beauty Gala inside the Rideau Centre, had dinner at Restaurant 18 and then I pampered myself with some of the products I received in my goody bag from Shoppers Drug Mart! And… I almost fainted when I received a note to pick up a free pair of Brooks running shoes at the Running Room. I can’t wait to break these bad boys in, after my surgery on June 7!
A few weeks ago, I switched up my skincare routine to test out a new Korean skincare line. Belif uses an old apothecary approach for all its products and promises a clean and natural experience. Each container displays a guarantee that products do not contain artificial dies, fragrances, preservatives, mineral oils, or animal byproducts (vegan). The products are also free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates, preservatives known to be bad for the environment and linked to cancer.
Nothing excites me more than testing face cream and moisturizers this time of the year, because my skin is so dry from fluctuating temperatures. I have had a chance to dabble in all the products that were sent my way, and hope to share an honest review to help you with your quest for a new natural skin care routine.
The classic Eau Thermale Avène, that we all know and love, has launched a brand-new skin care product! Introducing the new Eau Thermale Avène YsthéAL Intense, a solution designed to improve the quality of your skin and a quick and safer way to get the same results as a chemical-peel, in the comfort of your own home. I was invited to join the conversation and given these samples to try at home, and take part in the experience.
“You’re invited to attend a sneak preview of M.A.C’s newest collections“… Take my money, take my house, I don’t care. I just want to play with the makeup!!! Hahaha
I am sick in the head when it comes to makeup, let alone M.A.C. makeup, let alone being gifted the makeup in exchange for my open and honest (FAN GIRL!!!) review. I attended the preview with my girl Katie from Yow City Style a few weeks ago and we both got pampered by the awesome staff at the M.A.C. store in Bayshore! I think we both fell head over heels for the coloured mascara. I mean, I used to buy the stuff at dollar stores, and lord knows what was in them! I am relieved there is now a more trusted brand making coloured mascara that is safe for my eyes. Sadly, these bad boys won’t last long, so hurry, unless it’s already too late!
