Swooning over those tassels, that lace and tie die tops!
I am happy to announce that I will be representing on the #StyleSquad at RBC Ottawa Bluesfest this year! We will be covering festival fashion for 6 days. Proutfit: Victory in this Darling Dress!

This summer I have been obsessing over floral prints. I have been in search, far and wide, for that perfect pattern and colour combination. With a little bit of digging and research, I think I found it!

chantal sarkisian plus-size ottawa fashion blog mode xlusive ottawa street style chantal sarkisian plus-size ottawa fashion blog mode xlusive street styleThis Darling Alice Fitted Dress was purchased at Victoire, a boutique in Ottawa, known for carrying a wide variety of dresses, skirts and unique costume jewellery. This size XL dress {paid $105} has a pixilated floral pattern, which makes it look quite modern. I love the colour combination here, it’s flattering for any skin tone.

The dress is perfect for my body shape, it hugs me at the waist and actually fits around my chest. The length is also optimal, since in hits me just below the knee and is not too short. It’s a thicker fabric which helps keep me tucked in. The busy print also hides any imperfections (like my nemesis- the belly button dip!).

I paired this dress with my nude Pour la Victoire heels I bought at Viens Avec Moi, another fabulous boutique, just down the street from Victoire.

Victoire seems to be the theme for this proutfit! Let me know what you think!

Have you bought anything at Victoire or Viens Avec Moi? Share in the comments bellow.

My Yow City Style Profile

If you’re on Instagram and follow the #OttawaFashion scene, then you clearly have heard of “Yow City Style”. Katie Hession, is the talent behind the lens and this amazing gig.

A few weeks ago, we got together to do my style profile and it was finally launched yesterday. Go over to Instagram to find out more about the outfit (and hit “like” would you?).

I mean, I am not the most popular kid on this page… and I am fine with that. I’ll just chalk it up to … “je don’t give a %@#”!

What I do give a $@# about are the rest of these amazing photos that Katie took! Love the deets people… love the details!

Le Veston- My Denim Vest

Le Veston

A few observations. First, I feel so 80’s today with my new vest. Second, I might be obsessed with denim… hahaha

Today’s proutfit is brought to you by my new Old Navy light wash denim vest, perfect to hide chubs and rolls! he he We can’t all be sleek but we sure can try and hide our flaws!

This cut is perfect for me as it hits high, right at my waistline and really helps accentuate it. For a more pear shaped body type, or if you are blessed with a booty, I would recommend a longer version, the Plus Denim Vest.

These vests are perfect for the summer. They keep you cool, but covered. Give you a more tailored finish without being too restricting and best of all, as I mentioned above… it helps to hide imperfections. I will be wearing it with skirts and dresses./.. so watch out!

Yes, I have imperfections. It doesn’t mean that I hate myself. I am just on a mission to find flattering clothes and help you do the same!
