I am sick in the head when it comes to makeup, let alone M.A.C. makeup, let alone being gifted the makeup in exchange for my open and honest (FAN GIRL!!!) review. I attended the preview with my girl Katie from Yow City Style a few weeks ago and we both got pampered by the awesome staff at the M.A.C. store in Bayshore! I think we both fell head over heels for the coloured mascara. I mean, I used to buy the stuff at dollar stores, and lord knows what was in them! I am relieved there is now a more trusted brand making coloured mascara that is safe for my eyes. Sadly, these bad boys won’t last long, so hurry, unless it’s already too late!

I notice a pattern that occurs every time I meet a new business owner in Ottawa, or when I visit their store. It’s sad to say: but their Instagram accounts are usually weak, underdeveloped and more of an embarrassment than something they can be proud of. It’s lacking followers, lacking professional or high-quality images, there is usually not enough content, there is no sign of engagement and worse, they are not using a single strategic hashtag to save their life. I was sent these gorgeous white and rose gold ELUX Specter wireless headphones for my open and honest review. Specter is a premium wireless company based out of the US that sells headphones, earphones and other wireless speaker devices. This humble company is owned by Matt Jackson and Michael Vogt, who came together and built a business out of their passion for music. When I was first approached by them, I sort of assumed that they were a huge corporation, based on the quality of their product and professionalism. But, my heart got the warm and fuzzies when I was able to connect with the faces behind the brand.
