Lately, I am in love with the oversized vintage denim jacket trend, albeit I realize that it’s not the most flattering look, especially for my wide frame. But you know what? I don’t care! I love my vintage Preloved jean jacket by Wrangler. It’s so comfortable and roomy and it does that perfect temperature control only denim can do. I wear it all the time, and I am styling a lot of looks using this trend.
Escaping in Style: Fashion Art Toronto, Food and Fun with Ford Canada
My first official press tour has sadly come to an end. And what a whirlwind it was. My friend and fellow Ottawa influencer, Katie Hession from Yow City Style, joined me for a road trip to Toronto for the weekend. I drove us in a brand new 2017 Ford Escape, courtesy of Ford Canada. We had a hectic agenda and truly made the best of our time there, sans our family! It’s quite refreshing to travel with someone that has the same interests and goals: do, eat and see all the things in Toronto! No need to deal with kiddies or hangry husbands who want to eat before we have had a chance to photograph our food. I know most of you were following our Instagram stories, and I have to say it was nice staying in touch with Ottawa while we were in Toronto. Hopefully we made you proud, and you were able to enjoy it as much as we did!
I heart this spring look: Frayed Hem Jeans & Gucci slides
Last month Preloved Toronto sent me a whole bunch of clothes, including this sweet Broken Hearted Sweatshirt in Off-White, from their Heart Collection. To stay true to their recycling word, the signature red heart on this sweater is made from the material of other vintage sweaters. It’s super soft and has the cutest details, including a little heart on the back! The ¾ length sleeves on this sweater are perfect for spring, especially when the temperature fluctuates so much. You will be happy to know that Preloved is now available at Sporting Life in Ottawa.
Belif Canada: A truth serum for your natural skincare routine
A few weeks ago, I switched up my skincare routine to test out a new Korean skincare line. Belif uses an old apothecary approach for all its products and promises a clean and natural experience. Each container displays a guarantee that products do not contain artificial dies, fragrances, preservatives, mineral oils, or animal byproducts (vegan). The products are also free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates, preservatives known to be bad for the environment and linked to cancer.
Nothing excites me more than testing face cream and moisturizers this time of the year, because my skin is so dry from fluctuating temperatures. I have had a chance to dabble in all the products that were sent my way, and hope to share an honest review to help you with your quest for a new natural skin care routine.
