Who would have ever predicted that athletic wear would become a fashion trend? Thank goodness the fashion gods have blessed us with Athleisure! I am more than happy to wear cushioned running shoes and leggings for the sake of style, I know my feet and legs are thanking me. Today’s post is all about Athleisure for curvy women, and I have partnered with Addition Elle to bring you the latest and greatest they have to offer this season. It’s been difficult to find really supportive workout clothes that come in larger sizes, and I am extremely grateful that Addition Elle has us covered!

Not your average holiday plus size looks with Addition Elle

You may already know that I love working with Addition Elle. They offer fashionable and trendy plus size women’s clothing, and are really breaking fashion barriers for women. Not only are they a Canadian brand, but they have international recognition for the role they play in body positivity. Just recently, they announced on their blog, that they have extended their sizes to 26 for everything in store! You’re welcome!

Last week, I presented yet another fashion segment on CTV Ottawa Morning Live, where we talked about Holiday looks and plus size party dresses. I had a blast styling for this segment, because as you will see, the outfits are fierce!!!

Also, I want to give a shoutout to my gorgeous models, for once again supporting my work and looking fab while doing it!

Look 1- Gold Jumpsuit

I love this luxurious leather jacket and wearing it as a blazer with this gold jumpsuit makes the look super edgy. The jumpsuit is very comfortable and cinches at the waist for a better fit. The details on the ankles are also to die for!

Look 2- Sequin Dress

Sequin is a fabulous way to look glam at any holiday party. This jewel tone in fuchsia will also look great on any skin tone. You can pair this dress with booties, pumps or tall boots to control how dressy you want to go. I particularly love the lines that give extra dimension to this dress, and long sleeves for added comfort!

Look 4- Black mini skirt and cold shoulder sweater

The sweater and skirt combo is my uniform this season, and I am so glad to reproduce it here! It’s a mix of comfort and style, while staying on top of trends- the cold shoulder and leather skirt are here to stay! Pair it with a red pump for a pop of colour and to soften the look.

Look 5- Black & White

With this crips black and white combo, you can do no wrong! I love the length of the cardigan and the sheer material helps to dress up the look. Go bold in leather leggings and use your long white tank to stay under cover. The long necklace pulls in the gold details of the cardigan and adds a gorgeous focal point to the look.

Getting racy: The plus-size black lace bralette of your dreams

Look no further, I found the perfect black lace bralette that will actually hold your girls in and cover your cleavage! Unless of course that is not what you are looking to do.

I was searching high and low for a bralette that I could wear under tops that have a deep neckline or my romper that crosses over the chest. You and I both know that the cross top never has enough coverage and I don’t want my girls peaking through the sides.

This black lace bralette is from Addition Elle, and the just restocked it! So I urge you to buy it right away! I regretted not buying it last month, when I featured it on my CTV segment about Addition Elle bras.

So, to thank my readers for sticking around, I decided to post a pic of me in the bra! It’s so delicate and pretty that I want to wear it out in public, just like that!Plus Size bra lace bralette Ottawa Fashion Blog Mode XLusive Chantal Sarkisian blogger

This bra is size X at Addition Elle, which fits like a Large/XL in other stores and is only $40. I am also told the lingerie line at Addition Elle fits one size smaller than normal. In the last picture, you can see how the delicate lace in the back is thick enough to actually cover your back and not get wedged under the rolls! hahaha

Why are you still reading? GO BUY THE BRALETTE!

Spring Fashion 2016 Trends with Addition Elle

I had the pleasure of presenting another fashion segment on CTV Morning Live today, where we talked about 2016 Spring fashion trends from Addition Elle with a twist. Today’s segment was all about pulling a look together that was inspired by the bra!

Addition Elle has a gorgeous selection of quality bras and has qualified staff to help you find the right fit. That’s ultimately the secret, the right fit! This month they are featuring their bra fitting services with special promotions from March 17-22 2016. This is not to be missed.

CTV Morning Live Perfect Bra for Curvy Body Types

To be honest, I have never been a lover of lingerie. Particularly because my bras are usually too “functional” to be pretty. You know what though? I no longer need to feel that way. Their selection (size and fit!!) are wonderful and completely accommodating to all women who need more support. I fell in love a few times with their racy designs, particularly those from the Ashley Graham line (I mean, who doesn’t love Ashley Graham). The new Sheer Desire set is also to die for; a lightweight mesh that is both sexy and practical.
