I stumbled upon this fantastic article, while looking for an image of Fran Lebowitz for my article on “Style vs Trends“.
I just might have died and gone to heaven. I found a series of illustrations of these beautiful fashion icons done by Ryan McAmis. And there is a whole lot more on his site!
I used to draw caricatures of people all the time, much like this. I tried to dig up the ones I did of my roommates and I a while back, but no such luck. I miss being really artistic. I think that’s why I absolutely love these images. They make me reminisce on a talent I used to possess. Also, they are bang on! Maybe it will inspire me to do more.
I pulled everything from Fashion United, Ottawa’s premier fashion boutique! I love going there! They have an amazing selection of shoes, bags, clothes and accessories. They carry high-end brands like Marc Jacobs, Rebecca Minkoff, Kate Spade, Longchamp, Marccain and Michael Kors. This is quite rare in Ottawa, which is why this boutique really excites me.
Check out the segment and let me know what you think! I’m happy to give you any ideas. Don’t be shy and ask me your questions in the comments below!
It’s getting chilly out there, and although I hate to admit it… Summer is coming to an end faster than we can say “hell no!”
I love this comfy transition look, perfect for fall or even spring. The light weight cotton parachute pants (forever 21+), the striped blazer (Marshalls) and a pop of colour in my yellow pumps, reminds us that the sun is still around.
A nude tone leather bag (mine is a Marc Jacobs purchased on Valamode.com) is also a versatile and classic accessory every girl needs to compete her look.
Wear this look to work, or pull it off for a dinner date with the gals. You are sure to remain warm, comfortable, relaxed and on point for your next occasion.
