It’s getting chilly out there, and although I hate to admit it… Summer is coming to an end faster than we can say “hell no!”
I love this comfy transition look, perfect for fall or even spring. The light weight cotton parachute pants (forever 21+), the striped blazer (Marshalls) and a pop of colour in my yellow pumps, reminds us that the sun is still around.
A nude tone leather bag (mine is a Marc Jacobs purchased on Valamode.com) is also a versatile and classic accessory every girl needs to compete her look.
Wear this look to work, or pull it off for a dinner date with the gals. You are sure to remain warm, comfortable, relaxed and on point for your next occasion.
If you look at my closet, you’ll see that I don’t have a lot of colour. I am quite picky when it comes to colours, to be honest. But I had a soft spot for the bright orange pops of colour on this blue Banana Republic Dress. I had to have it! You can’t see it in this picture, but the back of the dress is open. The dress is split at the waist, so you can get a glimpse of the low back with a soft breeze. Very sexy.
I paired the dress with a classic denim jacket (Old Navy), cobalt blue pumps (Nine West) and a vintage snake skin clutch (AMH Style), and my idea of a pop of colour for makeup is my favourite lipstick “Morange” (from MAC).
I love the juxtaposition of the bright colours of the dress and graffiti along side the drab trees and tones in this alley (Old Ottawa South at Bank Street and Sunnyside Ave).
A big thank you to John Finnigan-lin for these gorgeous shots! xox
Oui, oui! Je suis une Parisienne today! All I am missing is a bike, a baguette and a beret!
Today’s casual-Friday proutfit is black and white with a little sparkle! It is the holiday of course and sparkle is not only in season, it’s a prerequisite to looking festively glam!
I am wearing my new Nine West flats that I got for 50% off… 1 of 3 pairs that I bought recently. You already saw my electric blue swede pumps yesterday. So far they are soft and comfortable! I love the preppy look too. Stay tuned for number 3.
Here is a complete list of today’s proutfit:
- Darling & Dapper Capella earrings (Ottawa brand!)
- Joe Fresh Black and white stripe sequence tee
- Black Jeans from GAP outlet
- Nine West Lavalu black leather flats
Today my “proutfit” or proud + outfit of the day is all about my shoes! I am totally loving these new “UGoGirl” Nine West electric blue pumps! They are original and comfortable!
I wore my new Melanie Lyne (on sale) grey skirt and paired it with a simple black H&M top. Rocking my pumps with some black lace fishnets. Already getting lots of compliments and it’s only the morning.
