What to Wear: Celtic Christmas on The Farm

The Celtic Christmas on The Farm is on November 29, and fast approaching! This celebratory event is filled with local taste makers and holiday enthusiast. What I love most, is that your ticket purchase allows each car to leave with a Christmas tree! How original is that?!
Celtic Christmas on The Farm is the birth child of none other than the leading voice of Ladies Who Lunch Ottawa, Catherine Landry. With exciting partnership between local Ottawa businesses, Catherine’s events also incorporate a humble philanthropic surprise initiative. I can’t wait to see who will benefit this time around!
So please make sure you BUY YOUR TICKETS HERE!

These events are jam packed with activities and so much fun for the entire family. The trouble is, Ottawa socialites are wondering how to dress their best attending this family affair, while embracing our cold Ottawa climate!

Worry not, I have pulled a few inspirational looks that are sure to impress!

The syndrome became apparent, when I immediately connected with Episode 4, Season 4 of Parks and Recreation, a.k.a the “Treat yo self day” episode. Here’s a clip of the script, for your reading pleasure. It will also add some context to this post.

Tom Haverford: Once a year, Donna and I spend a day treating ourselves. What do we treat ourselves to?

Guest post on The Best of this Life- My love story

I was invited by Emily, editor of The Best of this Life blog, to share my personal love story. It was such an amazing exercise, to go back and reminisce on the 13 plus years worth of memories I had created with my first love. When I read it over to him, I could tell he was flattered, but I made sure it didn’t go over his head!

I always say that I am extremely blessed to have found someone before the digital dating era. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to meet somebody, which primarily consists of your first impression based on their looks alone. I’m not even sure I’d master the swipe right or swipe left. I know I would be way too nice, open and willing to date pretty much anybody. Desperate times. I know I would over share personal information and open myself up way too quickly. It would scare the guys off. It would be a complete disaster.

Luckily, this story has a happy ending. If you want to know more about me, head over to the best of this life and check out my personal love story! ?
