I was approached by Krowd Magazine for another Street Style feature a few months ago. This time it was for their Maple Issue, released just in time for Canada Day! I am so excited to finally share these pics with you!
Ottawa Street Style: Business Cool
It’s getting chilly out there, and although I hate to admit it… Summer is coming to an end faster than we can say “hell no!”
I love this comfy transition look, perfect for fall or even spring. The light weight cotton parachute pants (forever 21+), the striped blazer (Marshalls) and a pop of colour in my yellow pumps, reminds us that the sun is still around.
A nude tone leather bag (mine is a Marc Jacobs purchased on Valamode.com) is also a versatile and classic accessory every girl needs to compete her look.
Wear this look to work, or pull it off for a dinner date with the gals. You are sure to remain warm, comfortable, relaxed and on point for your next occasion.
Street Style: Denim blouse with Full Stripe Skirt
Do you have a go-to favourite outfit that you know will work? For me this year it’s totally the denim blouse (also called chambray) with a full skirt. Something casual on top paired with something feminine on the bottom. I totally love that look. You will see me repeat-offending this one for sure. Guilty.
My top is from Old Navy and the “High Waist Elastic Black and White Stripe skirt” is from Express {Size L $59.90}. It’s a really thick material and very stretchy. For me it accentuates my waist and is flattering for my legs.
I am holding a “Lovely Bird” hat that I bought at Cloakroom in Toronto. (Love this hat!!!)
My necklace is none other than Katye Landry’s wishbone necklace. Also a repeated offense on my blog!
My black heels are from Vince Camuto.
I am standing outside of the Mayfair Theater in Old Ottawa South on Bank Street. It also started snowing that day! I was frozen, but kept my composure… at least I tried to! My proudest moment was getting so many looks and a few honks. It’s kind of corny, but it made me feel important and sexy! haha
Enjoy the pics!

Proutfit: Casual Jean Friday
You know that go-to outfit you always gravitate towards? Well, on Casual Fridays at work, when I can wear my jeans, I always seem to wear the same old (awesome!) outfit. I feel professional, warm and comfortable. I can also transition this outfit for an after work rendez-vous. Which is precisely what I will be doing tonight! I have a gal-date at North and Navy!In essence, I can’t live without my:
- Gap skinny blue jeans
- Army green Banana Republic top (that I bought on sale-on sale)
- Black structured wool cardigan from Bailey 44, I bought at Vincent (my favourite boutique on Preston)
- And of course, my gold wishbone necklace from Katye Landry Designs (best Xmas gift ever!!!)
It’s actually not like me to recycle my outfits, I feel like I can’t be seen wearing the same thing twice. But this morning, I had no time (insert mom excuse here), so I just grabbed the first thing I could think of!
What I really need to do is work on reorganizing my closet like Cher from Clueless, so I can easily pick out my clothes in no time at all!
What do you do to save time getting dressed in the morning?
Happy Friday lovelies!
