I nearly fell off my chair when I got an email from Moose Knuckles, who wanted to collaborate with me. I was thinking “what? who me?… is this fake news? fake email?”… I just couldn’t accept that a huge Canadian brand like this, would choose to have little old me parading in their luxurious garments. Well, my friends… the collab is real and so is my love for these jackets! I have been dying to get a Moose Knuckles winter coat. It’s been on my list for a few years, and although this post features jackets that are more spring/summer/fall appropriate, maybe this is my chance to get that much closer to crossing off my wish list!
You know I do my best to bring you relevant Canadian content, specifically weather appropriate products and stuff that is made or designed in Canada. Moose Knuckles is no exception and offers an extremely luxurious line of well-made, weatherproof and functional outerwear… the kind that doesn’t sacrifice style. That’s why I love Canadian made products. They are tailored to suit our needs depending on weather conditions while maintaining the quality and integrity of the product. And although it may seem a little pricey, think of it as a long-term investment piece for your wardrobe. I always recommend quality and durability when it comes to protecting yourself from our Canadian climate!
MCCABE CANVAS JACKET
Summer has been all over the map this year, with colder temperatures than normal. It also reminds us that we can never have enough jackets for every temperature: winter jacket, spring jacket, summer jacket and fall jacket. They each serve a unique purpose. But luckily, this patch adorned canvas army jacket “McCabe Canvas Jacket” checks off about 3 out of 4 seasons. And if you’re good at fashion math, you know the price-per-wear checks out!
I paired this army jacket with a white V-neck shirt, my favourite jeans and my new pink mules from L’Intervalle (ps- also Canadian!).
FILION RAIN JACKET
Don’t hate me for stating the obvious… but this summer has been so WET and RAINY!!! Moose Knuckles yet again comes to my rescue with this super stylish and on-trend clear plastic raincoat. The “Filion Rain Jacket” is not complete without its lumberjack flannel lining… how very Canadian! I adore this jacket and feel badass when I am wearing it. The quality is impeccable, down to the hardware like the fat plastic zipper and hood drawstring. The jacket is 100% waterproof too. I know this because it was obviously raining during the shoot (story of my life!). Luckily, the lining kept me dry and warm, and not sticky or sweaty, which can be an issue with rain jackets.
In this look, I am wearing a ripped hem denim skirt, white v-neck shirt, bolo tie from Atelier SYP (from Montreal!), L’Intervalle heels and Gucci backpack from Valamode, a luxury consignment service in Ottawa.
Thank you to Moose Knuckles Canada who sent me two amazing jackets in exchange for my open and honest review. I am so fortunate to be in your #MOOSETRIBE.
