Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the launch of Custom DOSE by SkinCeuticals at The Ottawa Skin Clinic.
Custom D.O.S.E is a new professional service offered at SkinCeuticals partner spas, which combines” high-potency ingredients with professional expertise to create a personalized corrective serum just for you – developed, measured, and dispensed in only 10 minutes.”
I often get asked what are my favourite beauty products, and this is probably one of the hardest questions for me to answer. I get to try out so many great products and brands, mostly new products that are coming to market, and so many of them have their unique benefits and best times to be used. To help you shop the Beauty Insider and VIB Sephora Sale in Canada happening in November 2018, I put together a list of products that I have used and would buy again. I have also included my personal Sephora wish list filled with new products that I want, products that I am dying to try, or products that are currently sitting in my cart! So keep reading if you are curious or if you want inspo on how to shop the Sephora sale! Bonus- keep reading until the end to see my 10 tips on how to shop the Sephora Sale Canada 2018.
This year I turned 35, and for the first time in my life, I see my skin starting to age, particularly the fine lines around my eyes and the deep lines in my forehead. It seems to get worse in the afternoon, when I am extra dehydrated! The thing is, I have mixed feelings about it. Part of me wants to call it quits and get Botox, and the other part of me wants to attempt to reverse and slow down the signs of aging with healthier habits and a stronger skincare routine. When Canadian cosmetics brand, Mériance Collagen reached out to me to test their anti-aging skin care line, I knew this beauty assignment was the perfect opportunity to distract my Botox craving.
Before I go on, I’d like to say that I have nothing against Botox and fillers, and I imagine I will get it at some point in my life. I’m just not ready to start right now, that’s all.
It was a slow start to get motivated this year, I got a taste of the simple life and it felt hard to come back from it. I hadn’t posted my annual “hindsight- a year in review” in January like I normally do, I’ve neglected the blog and this cold weather has me completely uninspired. My recent trip to Tulum, however, did get my creative juices flowing again! Proof that resting the mind and body is a necessity. Now that I am feeling myself again and because I want to stick to my good habits, I am forcing myself to write this goal-setting post, as I have done for the last 5 years. It is one thing that I have consistently done, and that has contributed to the growth and success of my life and business. I don’t always achieve every goal, but it’s nice to know where I was a year from now, how much I have grown and where I am headed. So if you want to know more about the importance of setting goals in life and business and you want to know how you can stick to them, keep on reading!
