A few months ago, Place D’Orleans launched the Find your Colour campaign, to encourage shoppers to get out of their comfort zone and add a little colour to their style pallet this Spring and Summer. I was asked to be captain for #TeamPink and showcase a few fun looks inspired by the colour pink! Follow Place D’Orleans on their social channels throughout the month of June to see more PinkSpiration!
Dress like a JUNOs Star with Place D’Orleans + Giveaway
On March 3, I presented a TV segment on CTV Morning Live “Dress like a JUNOs star with Place D’Orleans” (scroll below for full video clip). I promised to showcase all the looks of each nominee on the blog and tell you where I got everything from, so here it is- Junos style with Place D’Orleans! Disclaimer, this is a LONG post, but worth the read. I have detailed shots of all the looks, an amazing contest and much more. SO grab your beverage of choice and a cozy spot on the couch and keep reading.
How excited are you for the 46th Annual Juno Awards happening in Ottawa on April 2, 2017? I know I am! Some of my favourite Canadian artists have been nominated this year; Drake, the Weeknd, and Justin Bieber… yes, don’t judge me. What I love about the Junos, is how accessible it is to everyone, literally you can buy your tickets to the Junos online and join the party! I am told to get there early and secure a spot on the red carpet to watch over 200 artists walking in!
#OttawaStyle Update: New shops and designer stores in Ottawa
It’s no surprise that the Ottawa Fashion scene is experiencing a renaissance like no other. Almost every mall is under construction with major renovations ahead. There is no need to cross the border; the US or Quebec’s for that matter. Ottawa shopping has changed, and so should your routine!
I pulled together a handful of new shops that have opened up, and some that will soon!
New stores in Ottawa to visit
- Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) in Trainyards. The one-destination for all your shoe shopping needs.
- Fifth Avenue OFF FIFTH at Tanger Outlets. A mini department store offering a mix of contemporary and high end brands… but at a fraction of the price!
- Hudson’s Bay next to the Rideau centre has done a massive overhaul. They have recently opened Ottawa’s first Topshop and Topman. This #LONDSTYLE inspired brand provides a nice variety of trendy pieces at a mid price range.
Coming soon
- Simons will be opening their second store in the area, inside Rideau Centre sometime this summer (August 2016)
- Ted Baker London in the Rideau Centre
New in Ottawa Plus-size fashion
- New Pennington’s outlet is now open at Billings Bridge. Lots of great sales and great finds!
- H&M will be launching an online store soon for Canada! This means you Ottawa gals can get your hands on H&M’s plus-size line, and you don’t have to shlep to Place d’Orleans to get it! Also, this means more sizes available at your fingertips! I will keep you gals posted of the progress, as there are no dates confirmed yet!
