Are you tired of wearing the same old boring clothes that you have been wearing all winter? Me too! The mild weather we have been experiencing the last few days makes me feel like there is hope for heat. As we all know, Spring can be a tricky season to savour. As soon as the weather warms up, we all seem to ditch the parka and dive right into summer clothes. I know, it’s a Canadian thing. But this year, I am challenging myself (and you!) to carpe this moment and make this season last. For your amusement, I put this post together to help you easily transition your look from Winter to Spring, with only 3 simple tricks.
You need to join me and jump on this fashion trend: the bell sleeve & frill dress
Today, I’m sharing my favourite bell sleeve dress fashion trend for winter 2017. Whether it comes in a blouse, sweater, jumper or dress, I want it all! It seems to make everything more elegant, more flirty and more fun. Although impractical at the office, and sometimes a pain under your jacket, my heart still longs for bell sleeves and frills all day long.
The 2 items you need to nail this winter fashion trend
I won’t make you read the whole post, I’ll just tell you straight up: you will need ripped boyfriend jeans and fishnet stocking to nail this winter fashion trend.
Holiday Outfit Ideas: H&M silver glittery dress
Ding Dong, Party time!
I bet you’ve got loads of events to go to, and odds are you’re looking for some holiday outfit inspiration. I got together with my friend Catalina from MDRN Creative Group, who kindly snapped some pics of me in front of her gorgeous new marble backdrop.
I want to thank Pearls 4 Girls Canada, who gifted me the lovely black pearl earrings you see in the photos. I paired them with my fur pompoms from Stunning, which I love!
Pearls 4 Girls Canada is a charity based here in Ottawa that raises funds for girls’ leadership programs in southern Africa through the sale of freshwater pearl jewellery. They are entirely non-profit, which means that a minimum of 50% of the purchase price of each piece of jewellery directly supports programs that help girls who are affected by HIV/AIDS, poverty, and gender inequity to build their confidence, learn how to make healthy decisions, and ultimately become leaders in their families and communities. Pearls 4 Girls is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year – since 2006, they have raised over ¾ of a million dollars and empowered thousands of girls to create a brighter future for themselves. I love my earrings and have not taken them off since I got them!
I was getting a little silly, and pretending to do a mannequin challenge during our photo shoot, so I apologize in advance! Enjoy the pics 🙂
